These pathologies are generally caused by overinflation of the cuff of intubation probes and endotracheal tubes. Besides, this system avoids the cuff underinflation and helps to reduce ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP).<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-628\" src=\"https:\/\/leved.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/leved-edouard-leveque.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"631\" srcset=\"https:\/\/leved.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/leved-edouard-leveque.jpg 500w, https:\/\/leved.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/leved-edouard-leveque-238x300.jpg 238w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/>Edouard Lev\u00eaque benefits from an initial study carried out by Prof. Alexandre Duguet (CHU Piti\u00e9-Salpetri\u00eare) which shows that Nosten\u00ae eliminates excess air pressure in the cuff of intubation probes and endotracheal tubes. This study also indicates that the use of the manometer alone provides an adapted pressure only 55% of the ventilation time.<\/p>\n<p>Over the following years, the indications for Nosten\u00ae became more diversified with the work of Prof. N&#8217;Seir (CHU Lille), which showed the beneficial impact of Nosten\u00ae on ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP).
